Yesterday at the airport I had a call from the agency. I called them back right away. The birthmother hasn't returned any of their phone calls for more than a week. They believe these are some red flags and have asked us whether we would like to be presented to other birthmothers. I said yes.
As you can imagine I am devastated. While our house now holds an assembly of donated baby items for a prospective baby, our dreams of becoming parents are on hold. I feel like we have wasted the time from April to June to be presented to other birthmothers while we were waiting on an update from this one.
I feel like we will never be parents. What if the next birthmother changes her mind as well?

Oh, I am so sorry Yoka. I know it isn't much comfort, but you and I can sit through this together a bit. You both will be parents, I have no doubt.
Oh, Yoka, I am sorry about this. It's so hard to have your hopes deflated.
Sitting with you, thinking of you.
Yoka, I am so sorry. I wish there was something I could say or do. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts
Im so sorry 2 read ur news. My mom also battled with our adoption. Pls feel free 2 email me. Will gladly share our story. Thinking of u. Xxx
I wish there were something I could say to make this easier. I'm sorry that you're hurting. :(
My husband and I are just starting the adoption process and I stumbled on your blog. What a painful and difficult thing to happen in the journey. My thoughts are with you at this heart-breaking time, but I also have no doubt that you'll eventually be matched with the right child - and situation - for you.
Shit. I hate that for you, Yoka. My heart aches for you-big time.
Thinking of you friend.
I'm so sorry that you have been let down again. It's one of the hardest things ever, to get your hopes up and then have them snatched away. It happened to me many years ago ~ but hang in there ~ as Nancy said, I'm sure there is a little one out there for you. I know that doesn't make it any easier. It didn't for me, either, but hang on -- your day will come.
Oh Yoka, I am so sorry. I will be praying for you. Here's a big hug.
I'm so sorry to hear this mews. (((HUGS))). It will happen for you, I'm sure of it. Just hang in there.
This is our biggest fear...This is why this process sucks. This is why having babies naturally is easier. This is what continues to build our character.
We are strong women, keep pressing through. I'm sending you hugs.
So sorry that you're having trouble reaching the birth mother. Although it's actually better that you know NOW if she's going to flip out and change her mind rather than after they place the baby in your arms.
The first baby we held and loved ended up going back to the birthmother. While it was painful, we decided to immediatley re-enter the pool and have them show us to other birthmoms. I's so glad we didn't wait, because Josiah's b-mom was waiting or us!
Oh, no. I'm so sorry. I'm praying for you and hoping your wait will not be much longer.
Yoka, I'm so sorry! I can't imagine how dissapointed you are. I think Dave's story above illustrates what I try to keep in mind- God already has a baby picked for you, and each obstacle in the road is placed there so the timing will be perfect between you and your baby. I know it isn't much comfort, but I wish you peace!
I'm really sorry to hear that. I can't imagine the frustration of going through this again and again. I hope the right mother and baby come along soon! Take care.
God has ONE IMPARTICULAR baby planned just for you and ...he/she will come!!!
I can't even BEGIN to imagine how much you're hurting right now... I'm sorry all I have to offer are cyber hugs.
Yoka, I am so sorry. I am sending some hugs your way cause I am sure no words I have will help you feel better about this. Big Hugs to you.
I'm sorry to be so late in replying to this, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish all the best for you!
