Traveling

Thank you all so much for your input on breastmilk. I thought that was really informative and will try to see whether I can find some around here. At least for a couple of days to mix with the formula... But I think I have decided that trying to breastfeed myself will be to much of a hassle. Formula it is for our baby...

We are going camping this weekend with our church small group. I am very excited and have to head out. A friend is coming in a little bit and I still need to finish packing, pick up hubby, and then we go..

Next week I am heading out to Mexico for work for a couple of days. Hopefully I will be able to practice my Spanish a little bit. At least that way time is passing a little faster. I'll try to post as soon as possible.

I too thought about breastfeeding my little guy. The idea sounded good. But once I had him home the idea of the medication, all the pumping, etc just didn't feel right. Honestly he ate so much formula those first few weeks I don't know how a cow could have kept him full. Formula is my friend!!!

Yup, we came to the very same conclusion. We started with Similac, but Josiah seemed to hiccup quite a bit after feedings. We consulted our pediatrician about a generic formula, and he informed us that they're all regulated by the FDA for nutrition, so there's no significant difference. Now we're using a warehouse club brand, and he does much better on it! Plus the savings is substantial!

Yep, as I said before, most people don't feel like bothering with all that is necessary for induced lactation. They come to the same conclusion that you do.

But it is good to make people aware of the option for those like myself who really wanted to take advantage of nursing our adopted babies. I would definitely do it again if I had the chance.
